 In view of the increasing cost of construction assistance for construction and repair of Gujarati Samaj Bhavan in other states, an important decision has been taken to significantly increase the amount of
this assistance. Accordingly, it has been decided to increase the amount of assistance given to Gujarati social organizations in other states for the purpose of construction, purchase and expansion of Gujarati Samaj Bhavan from Rs. 22 lakhs to Rs. 40 lakhs or 40% of the actual expenditure whichever is less. This decision will further strengthen the relationship with non-resident Gujarati, said Pradipsinh Jadeja, Minister for Non-Resident Gujarati.

Apart from this, it has been decided to increase the amount given to Gujarati social organizations of other states for the purpose of repair, repair or renovation of their existing Samaj Bhavan and to pay Rs.10 lakh or 40% of the actual cost whichever is less.

Minister Jadeja said that earlier the maximum amount of assistance for construction of Gujarati Samaj Bhavan, purchase of finished house or extension of existing building was Rs. 22 lakhs or 25 per cent of the actual expenditure whichever is less as well as for repair of existing Samaj Bhavan. The assistance of Rs.6 lakh or 25 per cent of the actual expenditure was paid whichever was less. Which has now been significantly increased.

The state government has so far provided assistance of Rs. 1 crore 49 lakh to 16 Gujarati communities in different states of the country for construction or repair of Samaj Bhavan, he added.The Gujarati Society of Tampa Bay has done a commendable job in the Corona epidemic. The Gujarati Society of Tampa Bay distributed 15,000 masks at a local hospital.

Erica Sculla, CEO of Advent Health, thanked them for the opportunity and said that in the current situation, there is an urgent need for masks in the hospital and the quantity of masks provided by the Gujarati Society of Tampa Bay would be useful. In addition to the United States, the Gujarati Society of Tampa Bay also donated money through online transfers to the PM Care Fund launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Gujarat Chief Minister's Relief Fund to help motherland India.
