Ration card or ration stamp is a card which is issued by a government. It facilitates the cardholder to receive food or other items that may be available in small quantities during war or any other emergency when rationing has been implemented. It has been implemented on both sides even after the end of the war when Mashrabian's efforts have gradually returned to normal. The ration stamp is also brought to the dealer to maintain the necessary food grains at any point of time. The reason for this is to try not to give any official opportunity to deposit more food grains than another person.

Ration card is a government document, with the help of which, under the Public Distribution System (PDS), wheat, rice etc. can be purchased from fair price shops at a very low price from the market price. But ration card is also used as ID proof in many places. For example in making LPG connection, driving license etc. It is also accepted as a proof of address. But the point to be noted here is that the ration card cannot be made for everyone. It is only for a certain income group, whose limit varies from state to state.
