Eligible candidates will be allowed to appear in te preliminary written test after preliminary scrutiny of the applications received by the Board within the stipulated time-limit.
. Preliminary written test which is OMR based on educational qualification and general knowledge as per the recruitment rules of that place. (Optical Marks Reading) method.. The general written test will test general knowledge and academic qualifications. In the subject of general knowledge, general knowledge, current trends, Gujarati, English language, mathematics, science, history, geography etc., the general knowledge of the candidates on the subject will be tested.

As the primary written test (qualifying test) is a qualifying examination, the marks obtained by the candidate in the primary written test will not be taken into consideration while preparing the selection / waiting list.. Candidates who get the minimum qualifying marks as decided by the Board in the written test will be declared eligible for the oral test.. Based on the number of applications received, the Board will decide whether to take the Preliminary Writing Test (Qualifying Test) or the Direct Oral Test (Interview).
The final selection of candidates is done by conducting competitive examination as per the rules of recruitment in that cadre.
