In Narmada district, elections are going to be held on December 19 for 57 seats in Nandod taluka, 27 seats in Tilakwala taluka, 35 seats in Garudeshwar taluka, 39 seats in Dadiapada taluka and 30 seats in Sagbara taluka.The last day of filling up of nomination forms in the Gram Panchayat elections saw a huge influx of candidates. Elections will be held in nine talukas of Patan district. Elections will be held on December 19 from the ballot paper. By-elections will also be held on December 19. Enthusiasm was seen for candidature in 206 gram panchayats and by-elections of Patan.
So far, 310 forms have been filed for the Sarpanch seat and 550 for the members. When elections are to be held on December 19 in more than ten thousand gram panchayats of different districts, nomination papers for sarpanch and member are being filled in all these gram panchayats.It is learned that the election for Gram Panchayat Sarpanch is likely to be held in December next year and preparations have been started by the Election Branch.
