the financial aid received by any student due to academic, artistic, athletic or any other special quality / talent is called 'Scholarship'. This scholarship provides financial assistance to the students to achieve higher academic qualifications. These scholarships are awarded to such Indian students, who apply for a scholarship suitable for themselves by fulfilling certain criteria prescribed for student scholarships. In our country, students can apply for scholarships on the basis of their talent, merit or financial condition from the school level itself.



If students take scholarship from their school level itself, then while taking admission in a college or university or applying for their first job, getting scholarships at school level itself has a positive effect on their CV. Various government and private organizations and NGOs in our country offer these scholarships to the talented students on merit/skill basis and/or after passing the exam for scholarships. The future of the students who get the scholarship at the school level itself becomes secure. Scholarships of this category are given to the students to pursue school level education. Many times, 



to get this scholarship, students have to pass an assessment exam. National Talent Search Exam (NTSE) is one such exam which can be given only by class 10th students. This scholarship helps students to pursue higher education related to science and social science. Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Government of India organizes scholarship competition every year for students below 18 years of age. Students alone or in a group can send only one entry in Hindi or English language, for which the maximum word limit of 5000 is fixed. For this competition, students have to describe their unique ideas related to science or technology in their proposal. A total of 15 scholarships are given in this scholarship, which includes a cash reward of Rs 1 lakh.
