Krishnakumar Agarwal, a cotton trader, has been ill for a long time, so he could not go to the circuit house, but the President himself insisted on going to a friend's house. The President stayed in his village for three hours. The President will leave for Lucknow by train at 10 am on Monday.

Kovind was born on October 1, 19 in the village of Parunkh in the rural district of Kanpur in the state of Uttar Pradesh to a Koli family. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com.) From Kanpur University and later a Lawyer's (LLB) degree.

On 19 June 2017 he was declared the candidate for the President of India by the ruling National Democratic Alliance. Bharatiya Janata Party National President Amit Shah announced his candidature by holding a press conference, Amit Shah said that Ramnath Kovind has come up from the Dalit society and has worked a lot for the upliftment of Dalits, he is a lawyer by profession and He also has good knowledge of the Constitution, so he will prove to be a good President and will continue to work for the welfare of humanity. [6] On 20 July 2017 the result of the Presidential election was declared in which Kovind almost defeated UPA candidate Meira Kumar. He was defeated by a margin of 3 lakh 34 thousand votes. Kovind received 65.65 percent of the votes. [9] Kovind was sworn in as the 14th President of India on 25 July 2017 after Pranab Mukherjee, the 13th President of India.
