TET/TAT Exam Press Note | 24-8-2021

There are more than 10,000 vacancies for teachers in government primary schools in

Gujarat. Due to non-recruitment, many schools are running with only one or two teachers. On the other hand, more than 47,000 candidates who have passed T.E.T in the state are sitting idle waiting for recruitment. Depression is on the rise among such candidates due to lack of employment and recruitment. However, teachers are not recruited by the state government. With such allegations, the Congress leader has written a letter to Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama.

47 thousand candidates became unemployed due to non-recruitment.Congress leader Arjun Modhwadia has written a letter to Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama regarding the recruitment of education assistants. Modhwadia said in the letter that there were thousands of vacancies for teachers in government primary schools in the state. On the other hand, 47 thousand candidates who have passed the T.E.T examination have become unemployed due to non-recruitment. Which is why they are slowly being pushed towards depression. Yet recruitment is not done by the government.

This matter is very sad. In a letter to the education minister, Modhwadia has demanded the recruitment of education assistants. It has also introduced a lifetime validity of the T.E.T certificate.Recruitment of 3300 Gujarati medium education assistants pending. In a letter to the education minister, Modhwadia also said that the state government had announced the recruitment of 6,000 education assistants in 2018-19. He was assured that only 3262 academic assistants would be recruited and the rest would be recruited later.

But to date the remaining academic assistants have not been recruited. Announced the recruitment of 3900 academic assistants this year. Out of them 600 non-Gujarati medium education assistants were recruited. But 3300 Gujarati medium education assistants have not been recruited till date.

Demand for lifetime validity of T.E.T certificate. He also said in the letter that the Central Government had issued a circular on June 9, 2021 to T.E.T. The validity of the certificate has been extended to lifetime. While in Gujarat this validity is only five years. Due to untimely recruitment by the state government, many candidates are unable to participate in the recruitment due to this validity limit and their dream of becoming a teacher is likely to be dashed. So, keeping in view the future of the youth of Gujarat, it is necessary that this validity be extended for life.
