Gujarat Public Service Commission is an institution administered by the government for Class 1 and

Class 2 examinations. The examinations are conducted by the aptitude of the prestigious Gujarat Administrative Service, Class-1 and Gujarat Civil Service, Class 1 and 2 of the State of Gujarat. Initially, such examinations are divided into three parts. After going through all the stages, the candidate is allotted a specific service by the Government of Gujarat. All the candidates qualified for the examinations of Collector, Superintendent of Police, Mamlatdar, Taluka Development Officer, Section Officer, Gujarat Development Administrative Service.

Class-1 and Gujarat Civil Service, Class-1 and 2 are appointed by the Gazetted Officers. Functions of Gujarat Public Service Commission (Main Functions of Gujarat Public Service Commission) The following functions have been assigned to the Gujarat Public Service Commission or any other state ineligible for service under Article of the Constitution of India. Eligibility for GPSC Examination A citizen of Gujarat must be from India to take the exam. 

The candidate should be at least 20 years of age at the last date of application for the examination and the candidate should not be more than 35 years of age at the last date of application. The age limit for reserved classes will be relaxed as per the instructions of the government. Candidate must have completed at least graduation or be in final semester or year. But the candidate has to complete the required qualification submitted before the last date of submission of application for GPSC Mains Examination. (Gujarat Public Service Commission Examination Structure) The Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) conducts examinations for the selection of students for the Civil Services in the State of Gujarat. Candidates need to pass Gujarat Civil Services Examination to get a job in Class 1 and Class 2 vacancies in Gujarat Government. The GPSC exam and the syllabus can be divided into two parts. GPSC Prelims Course and GPSC Main Course, selection is also done on the basis of interview. Exams conducted by these ineligible candidates are conducted only in Gujarati or English language.
